  1. This Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter, its agents and anyone professionally associated with this Promotion.
  2. Purchase is necessary. Please retain an itemised receipt that states the time and date of purchase prior to entry, but within the Promotion Period, as this may be required for validation and in order for the winner to receive their Prize. Internet access and a valid email address are required.
  3. Promotion Period:
    a. Prize Draw & Reward: The Promotion is open between 00:01 BST on the 1 September 2026 and 23:59 GMT on the 14 February 2027 inclusive, within which there are 6 Monthly Prize Draws as outlined below.

b. Wrap-Up Draw: Enter between 00:00 GMT on the 15 February 2027 and 23:59 BST on the 15 April 2027 inclusive.

  1. To Enter:
    a. Prize Draw: Purchase a Promotional Pack, see clause 5 for details, and then scan the QR code on pack or visit wertherspromo.co.uk. Complete the online form to provide your details (full name, email address, mobile number, postcode, bar code and batch code (from the back of the Promotional Pack you have purchased) to be entered into the relevant Monthly Prize Draw. All valid entrants will be entered into the Grand Prize Draw.
    b. Wrap-Up Draw: Purchase a Promotional Pack within the Wrap-Up Draw Promotional Period, scan the QR code on pack or visit wertherspromo.co.uk. Complete the online form to provide your details (full name, email address, mobile number, postcode, bar code and batch code (from the back of the Promotional Pack you have purchased) to be entered into the Wrap-Up Draw.

  3. Reward: All valid entrants will receive 1 x 2 for 1 entry pass to an English Heritage Site.
  4. Maximum of 1 entry is permitted per person per Monthly Prize Draw during the Promotion Period. Maximum of 1 entry is permitted per person into the Grand Prize Draw. One itemised receipt per entry. Receipt must state the time and date of purchase, which must pre-date the entry date and time, but be within the Promotion Period. No person may win more than 1 Prize type. No person may receive more than 1 Reward.
  5. The Prizes:
    a. Monthly Prize Draws: There will be a total of 10 winners per Monthly Prize Draw, 60 in total. Each winner will win 1 x English Heritage Family Annual Membership.
    b. Grand Prize Draw: There will be a total of 3 winners. Each winner will win 1 x 3 or 4 night holiday cottage stay at an English Heritage site.
    c. Wrap-Up Draw: There will be 1 winner. The winner will win 1 x £250 cash.
  6. Further Prize & Reward Details & Conditions:
    a. The winners are responsible for the behaviour of themselves and their guests whilst taking the Prize/Reward. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude a winner and/or their guests from participation in any aspect of the Prize/Reward if any party fails to comply with the directions of the Promoter or any companies associated with the Prize/Reward or if the winners and/or their guests act in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is, in the opinion of the Promoter, anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others. Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in refused entry, or the ticket holders being required to leave the venue.
    b. The winners and their guest must abide by any relevant terms and conditions set by the venue/s which form part of their Prize/Reward. It is their responsibility to ensure that they take care when moving around the venue.
    c. For the avoidance of doubt, the Prize/Reward does not include travel/transportation, accommodation, food, beverages, souvenirs, gratuities, car parking charges, excess baggage, additional excursions and attractions or any other costs of a personal nature (including spending money) that are not explicitly set out in these Terms and Conditions and neither the Promoter nor any provider of any part of the Prize will be responsible for any such costs.
    d. If a booking is cancelled by the winner, no alternative will be issued and for the avoidance of doubt, no compensation and/or refund will be provided.
    e. Monthly Prize Draw:
    i. Membership is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
    ii. Not in conjunction with any other offer.
    iii. Only valid on new annual membership only.

    v. The membership will begin once the winner’s details, full name, postal address (including postcode), telephone number and email address, have been sent to English Heritage and the membership has been approved.
    vi. The winner will be sent the membership pack within 10 days of the membership being created.
    f. Grand Prize Draw:
    i. The Winners will be issued with a unique code that can be redeemed by phone by calling 0370 333 1187 or online at www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/holiday-cottages
    ii. The Winners can book a 3-night weekend stay (Friday – Monday), or a 4-night mid-week stay (Monday – Friday).
    iii. The maximum number of persons staying at the holiday cottage is limited by the number of bedrooms
    iv. Bookings are subject to availability.
    v. The stay must be booked by 30th June 2027 and taken before the 30th September 2027
    vi. Travel to and from the holiday cottage and additional costs outside of those stated in the prize offer/other than the basic cottage booking are not included in the prize and will be your responsibility.
    vii. The winner is solely responsible for any additional charges incurred at the hotel during their stay, including, without limitation, costs of meals, drinks, additional nights and services together with related taxes.
    viii. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered.
    ix. To make the booking you must be aged 18 years or over.
    x. Holiday stay is non-transferable and non-exchangeable.

    g. Reward:
    i. The Reward expires on 14th February 2027.
    ii. The Reward entitles participants to one free entry with one full paying adult (including senior tickets but not family tickets), at participating English Heritage sites.
    iii. How to redeem the Reward:
  7. Consumers will be automatically sent a promotional code once their entry has been completed. Consumers can then enter their promotional code at www.english-heritage.org.uk to claim their Reward.
    iv. You must visit your chosen attraction with your code before the 14th February 2027 to redeem the Reward.
    v. The Reward entitles the holder to one complimentary admission at all participating paid-for-entry sites when an adult admission of equal or greater value is purchased. The complimentary admission will be issued as a like-for-like ticket based on the paid admission. Maximum of one free ticket per promotional code, per person. Both tickets must be used on the same visit. An adult is classified as a person 18 years and over.
    vi. The promotional code can only be used once.
    vii. The Reward cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or concession including guided tours, annual membership, family tickets, overseas visitor passes, paid for entry events, accommodation and any other discount vouchers, but may be used when purchasing senior tickets.
    viii. Each Reward can be used once at a participating English Heritage site.
    ix. Advanced booking only, please enter your promotional code at checkout once you have purchased two entry tickets.

    xi. Offer excludes guided tour only sites, and locally managed properties including: Hylton Castle, Calshot Castle, Castle Rising Castle, Chiswick House, Denny Abbey and Farmland Museum, Hurst Castle, Landguard Fort, Longthorpe Tower, Lulworth Castle, Maison Dieu, Rochester Castle, Upnor Castle, Alexander Keiller Museum, Avebury, Cumbria’s Museum of Military Life, Aldborough Roman Town, York Cold War Bunker, Stott Park Bobbin Mill, Jewry Wall, Kirby Muxloe Castle, JW Evans Silver Factory, Ranger’s House, Hill Hall, Apethorpe Palace and Rushton Triangular Lodge, Aydon Castle and Prudhoe Castle.
    xii. All the English Heritage attractions reserve the right, in their absolute discretion to refuse entry and to close and/or alter all or any part of the facilities for technical, operational, health and safety or other reasons including overcapacity.
    xiii. All English Heritage attraction information is subject to change. Admission prices are subject to change. Please check the English Heritage website for the latest information.
    xiv. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse and/or error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these terms and conditions at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
    xv. Entry of the promotional code on the Werther’s microsite or acquisition of the promotional code which is made through improper technical means, agents, third parties, organised groups or any other entry duplication method will be void.
    xvi. The Reward can only be used as stipulated. The Reward is non-transferable and is not for resale. Any purported transfer or sale of the Reward will render it void. The Reward is only valid at participating English Heritage attractions.
    xvii. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the Reward and cancel any promotional code belonging to any individual who, at its sole discretion, it believes has duplicated the promotional code or otherwise tampered with the redemption process or who has breached any rule of this Promotion.
    xviii. Any decision of the Promoter in all matters relating to this promotion is final and binding.
    xix. If any clause in these terms and conditions is determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable than it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall remain in full force and effect.
    xx. The Reward is subject to availability, non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
    xxi. These terms and conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.
    xxii. Entry/claim instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions. By participating in the promotion, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.
    h. Wrap-Up Draw:
    i. The winner will receive their cash via bank transfer.
    ii. Winners are required to have a valid bank account.
    iii. Winners are responsible for providing correct bank account details and the Promoter will not be liable for any Prize payments made into the wrong bank account.
  8. Winner Selection:
    a. Monthly Prize Draw: 10 provisional winners per Monthly Period, 60 in total, will be randomly selected from all valid entries received during the relevant Monthly Prize Draw. For your total confidence, the Prize draw will be conducted by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service, within 5 working days of the end of the relevant Monthly Prize Draw Period.
    b. Grand Prize Draw: 3 provisional winners will be randomly selected from all valid entries received during the Prize Draw Promotion Period. For your total confidence, the Prize draw will be conducted by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service, within 5 working days of the end of the Prize Draw Promotion Period.
    c. Wrap-Up Draw: 1 provisional winner will be randomly selected from all valid entries received during the Wrap-Up Draw Promotion Period. For your total confidence, the Prize draw will be conducted by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service, within 5 working days of the end of the Wrap-Up Draw Promotion Period.
  9. Winner Notification: Provisional winners will be contacted via the email address used to enter within 5 working days of Winner Selection and may be asked to provide evidence of identity and eligibility. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the provisional winners. Once eligibility has been confirmed, a provisional winner will be confirmed as a winner. If a provisional winner does not respond to the initial contact within 14 days, we reserve the right to disqualify that entrant and award the Prize to a reserve selected in the same manner. Reserve winners may have less time to respond.
  10. Prize Acceptance: Notification to arrange fulfilment of a Prize will take place within 28 days of acceptance of the Prize. In the unlikely event that a winner has not received communication to arrange their Prize within this timeframe, the winner must inform the Promoter by emailing werthersenglishheritage26@promowinners.com within a further 28 days. If a winner does not do so, the Promoter reserves the right to not reissue the Prize at its sole discretion.
  11. Provided no objection is received from the winners, a winners list containing the surname and county of residence of the winners will be made available by the Promoter 4 weeks after the close of the Promotion Period, for a period of 8 weeks. It will be available at promowinners.com/werthersenglishheritage26. Winners can object to their details being published during the Winner Notification process. Without prejudice, the Promoter will provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority when requested by them.
  12. The Promoter may request that the winners participate in publicity arising from the Promotion. Participation is at the winner’s discretion and is not a condition of Prize Acceptance.
  13. The Promoter seeks to run a fair and secure promotion and prevent abuse and cheating. If you enter in a way that is not consistent with these Terms & Conditions, your entries (and any of your associated aliases) will be disqualified. Any Prize awarded may be void and recoverable, and the Promoter reserves the right to bar you from entering future promotions for a period of at least six months. For this reason, the Promoter reserves the right at any point to:

a. Verify the eligibility of entrants and/or provisional winners through multiple means by requesting such information it consider reasonably necessary for this purpose. Entry or a Prize may be withheld until verification is completed.

b. Disqualify entries that are not made directly by the individual entering the Promotion.

c. Disqualify entries made using anonymous email services such as, but not limited to, GuerillaMail, Dispostable or Mailinator.

d. Disqualify bulk entries from individuals, trade, consumer groups or third parties, incomplete entries and entries submitted by macros or other automated means.

e. Disqualify entries beyond the maximum allowed, or those using techniques such as ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking identity by manipulating IP addresses, using aliases or identities other than their own or any other means.

f. Disqualify entrants who tamper with the entry process.

g. Disqualify entries which, in some other way, do not meet the requirements of these Terms & Conditions.

h. Cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion should it not be capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion.

  1. Entrants must complete their details using their legal name. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who uses multiple names or email addresses and to require them to return any Prize they may have won.
  2. The Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for monetary value or for any other form of compensation. If for any reason the Prizes or any element of a Prize are not available, the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion to substitute that Prize or element of the Prize for another of equal or greater value.
  3. No responsibility can be taken for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The Promoter does not guarantee continuous or secure access to wertherspromo.co.uk.
  4. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion (PV20180) or accepting or using the/a Prize(s), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
  5. The Promoter will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances.
  6. All personal data supplied for this Promotion will be used for the purpose of this Promotion and for research and analytical purposes by the Promoter and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion. Personal data will not be disclosed to an unconnected third party unless your positive consent has been obtained.   7. If any part/s of these Terms & Conditions are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect.
  8. By entering, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
  9. If there is a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and those in any promotional material, these Terms & Conditions will prevail.
  10. These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law, and their interpretation and application will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Residents of Scotland and Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their own jurisdiction.
